Most health benefits arising from aerobic exercises are primarily due to exercise session undergone most recently. The quality of the benefits is directly proportional to the food eaten afterwards. Variation in whatever we choose to eat after exercising does inhibit varied effects on the human body’s metabolism. The study reported to have found that by exercising it did enhance insulin sensitivity, most notably when meals were eaten after an exercise session that had carbohydrate content in low quantities. Interesting is the fact that when participants ate meals that were low in calories after an exercise session, there was no significant improvement in insulin sensitivity when compared to eating enough calories to maintain what was lost during an exercise session.
